ASM-AIBS Graduate Student Public Policy Internship - The American Society of Mammalogists (ASM) and the American Institute of Biological Sciences (AIBS) are pleased to announce the availability of an internship in the Washington, D. C. AIBS Public Policy Office. The internship is open to ASM student members who are currently enrolled in a graduate program and who are engaged in research that involves the study of mammals. The internship is for 3 months during fall 2007, and carries a monthly stipend of $2000. Selection criteria include demonstrated interest in public policy process, strong communications skills, and excellent academic record. Click here for further details.
Call for Proposals - NESCent Sabbatical Scholars, Working Groups and Catalysis Groups The National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (NESCent) is now accepting proposals for sabbatical scholars, working groups and catalysis meetings. Proposals are accepted twice a year, with June 15 and December 1 deadlines. Proposals for post-doctoral fellowships are accepted at the December 1 deadline. Proposals for short-term visitors are considered four times a year, with deadlines on January 1, April 1, July 1 and September 1. Please visit our website for more information.

International Relations Committee needs nominations of potential
recipients of donated ASM memberships. Nominations should include the name,
institution, postal address, and email of potential beneficiaries in less
developed countries and should be sent to Enrique Lessa, Chair, lessa@fcien.edu.uy.
